Branch Visit to Morecambe - January 2004

11 members of the  Barrow branch paid a "First Foot" visit to our neighbours, the Morecambe Bay branch on Friday 30th January 2004.

Ken Collins (Chairman) and Ted Budgen (Treasurer) were supported by Hugh Short, Mike Kirk, Dudley Davenport, Bill Cole, Bob Palmer, Dave Jenkins, John Houlding, Dave Barlow (National Chairman) and Trevor Gale (National Secretary). We were extremely well looked after by our hosts, as always, many a dit was shared and exaggerated more as the ale, whisky and rum began to take effect.

The journey home was a period of lost moments as some sank into a deep slumber or was it a coma, waking up to start giving directions to their homes which were still miles away.  Everyone was delivered safe and sound just after midnight promissing to reconvene and share a tot the following Tuesday at the branches February meeting.
